I went on a hunt to photograph things that are yellow since I love the color, and one of the things I came across was a stack of National Geographic Magazines in the Sanibel Public Library. It took me back to my family's bookcase that housed some hundreds of Geographic Magazines. My Dad read them, and the rest of us flipped through them. But they were never to be thrown out. They were precious, revered, special and worthy of taking up shelf space for decades...literally. They brought the world to me. I saw parts of this globe that I don't think I'll ever get to in a lifetime. So when I saw this stack of magazines, it was like seeing an old friend.
