When you travel around the country and in different parts of the world, you get to see things that are vastly different than the environment in which you grew up, especially the plants and flowers. My Mom lives in Florida and the vegetation looks seriously different than that of New England, in a good way, in a different way. I took this picture on my parents', well now, my Mom's street. The curls on this plant remind me of when you wrap a present and your curl the ends of a ribbon with your scissors. I love this plant. It's just amazing.
