We spend a lot of time in Sonoma, so when my Mom came for a visit we rented a house. It's beautiful here, perfect in so many ways - warm/borderline hot (which I love), no summer humidity (hate to rub it in my suffering East Coast friends), scenery, mountains, amazing fruits and vegetables, and exquisite flowers.
We went to the Sonoma Garden Park, a community garden on the East Side of Sonoma, that is one beautiful spot to roam. I grabbed my camera and took a few snaps of some of the many beautiful flowers.
Love, love, love yellow roses.
These pink daisies with orange eyes are everywhere and are so striking.
We used to have morning glories at our house in Connecticut. Such sweet purple flowers.
All over Tuscany you see beautiful sun flowers, so when I see them, I think of Italy. Now I'll think of Sonoma.
Lavender is everywhere here (and so are the bees, but that's a good thing). What an amazing smell.
These were hard-to-miss fuschia zinnias, complete with a bee helping to pollinate it.
Don't know the name of this one, but it's sweet.
And more sunflowers. This time yellow ones.
I don't know the name of this one but they look like lilacs - didn't smell like lilacs, but that's ok.
