B and I were in New York recently and got a taste of Christmas in New York. We walked among the throngs of shoppers and navigated our way to Rockefeller Plaza. That was no small feat; it was mobbed with visitors.
One of my greatest childhood memories was skating at Rockefeller Center. My Dad took a handful of my friends here and treated us to hours of endless laps under Prometheus' watchful eye. It was quite a thrill. Pop was a superb skater and though he didn't do any triple lutzes, he could skate backwards with the best of them. Perhaps not in Bobby Orr's league, but not too far away.
If you haven't done this once in your life, it's definitely worth life-list worthy.
